We drove an hour and a half from Minot to Bismarck where we returned the rental car and hopped a flight home. Our route was Bismarck to Denver, a quick layover (and major meltdown) in Denver, then Denver to Seattle.
Eliot is a fabulously fun travel partner and I'm looking forward to more mother/daughter, mother/son trips in the future.
My only regret is that I didn't get my camera out of my purse in time to capture her actually sprawled on the floor of the airport while screaming "you took my monkey, I want my monkey!!!"
A lady walked by me while I was capturing this moment and said "did you just take a picture of her?" I was too busy laughing at eliot to respond.
