North Dakota, Day 2

Jet lagged, I dragged myself out of bed after 4 1/2 hours of sleep (fell asleep at 3 AM their time, woke up at 7:30 AM their time). Eliot continued sleeping as I showered, packed and made something labelled "coffee" in the coffee pot. Wasn't coffee, not sure what it was...

Eliot woke up on her own exactly when I needed her to. She took a quick shower, washing herself and penguin who was dropped in the crosswalk and run over by a couple of cars yesterday.

We took the shuttle back to the airport to pick up the rental car. Unfortunately, Mike was off duty. Steve was a great driver though, and allowed Elephant to sit up front with us.

We met up with my folks and had a quiet, relaxing caravan to Minot, aprox 2 hours away. This area of North Dakota is quite pretty with lots of green, rolling hills. (Many of the hills on the drive were made of mine tailings, quite interesting in themsleves).

We had a blast with all the Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Grandparents at my Aunt Debbie and Uncle Kent's place. I continue to feel so incredibly fortunate to have a family made entirely of people I adore.
