After 28 hours of travelling, eliot and I made it home from Illinois. Chicago airport has made it on our list of "airports to avoid" and Alaska Airlines is on our list of "airlines to fly with if you wanted to be left stranded, hungry and exhausted at the Chicago airport".
My cousin's wedding was lovely and we had a nice time with Grandma and Grandpa in Mt.Pulaski. We got to be there during one of the midwest's classic thunder/lightening/hail and tornado storms which was pretty cool. (Although it did result in us sitting on the tarmac trapped in an airplane for six hours in Chicago).
Grandma and Grandpa both look great and it was nice getting to see them.
Evan returned home from Vieques last night. Eliot wasn't so sure what she thought of that at first, but now is back in full daddy adoration mode.
