Recently, Eliot and I joined her class on a fieldtrip to the Science Center in Seattle. Due to a logistical snafu, all the kids were not able to join the class in the planetarium as planned. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we had a ball exploring on our own. We haven't been since last summer, and never just the two of us.
We spent almost the entire time in Eliot's favorite areas - the snakes, dinosaurs, bugs and butterflies. Our good friends Leah and Ethan joined us for the Dinosaur Imax in 3D and at the later Planetarium showing (eliot says 'not so much' to the giant dark room, way too scary!)
Eliot is desperate for butterflies to land on her. She wasn't as devastated this time as she typically is, but I think we'll plan ahead next time and have her wear the right colors to better attract them :) She is so frustrated they don't respond to "Butterfly, come HERE!"
