Last night we headed out to get a new pair of shoes for eliot. Now that she wants to wear dresses and pretty things, I thought she needed a pair of shoes that aren't sneakers.
Equipped with a good attitude and my wallet eliot marched confidently into Stride Rite. Nope. Their wide shoes aren't wide enough and they didn't have any extra wide.
Off to Nordstrom we go, the only other store in the Universe that sells wide children's shoes. They had 1 pair of little black mary janes in wide. We bought them. For $50. She ran around the mall in them. They hurt. I'm returning them.
ugh.
So dear readers I look to you. Anyone know of a store that sells cute, comfortable, extra wide shoes for children? Anywhere.

Andrew has wide, fat, round feet and I found the cheap brand (Koala?) at Babies R Us fit him the best. I'm not sure if you'd have the same luck with older, girly feet but it might be worth a try...? Good luck.
