Here is a GREAT LINK for those of you who will be travelling by air this holiday season - or any other time for that matter. The info is from my favorite travel website TRAVEL WATCHDOG.
The info is quite interesting and worth printing out and bringing in your carry-on!

I have an even BETTER air traveler's website (shame on me for not thinking to send it to you sooner). It's www.farecast.com It's a website that predicts whether airfares will get higher or lower, and recommends for you to buy or wait. It's saved me a few hundred bucks. You just input your travel info (like any airfare webpage, expedia, etc), and it searches the lowest fares for you and recommends to buy or wait. PLUS, you can sign up for daily emails that let you know what the lowest fare is and whether you should wait or buy. They use a sophisticated trends analysis (as opposed to a crystal ball).
It is pretty awesome. And, to boot, my very first best friend (Mike Fridgen) is the VP of marketing. That's pretty cool.
I do enjoy farecast, but I have to say, Airfare Watchdog has served me well.
But, shame on you still :)
