Today was a great day in the Griffiths household. While visiting cousin Logan, eliot stumbled across (cue the harps...) a FROG! Coincidentally she had been talking all morning about how badly she wanted a frog, how desperately she needed one, how rich her life would be with a frog in it.
Erik and Jenn generously found her a box to transport it home. Granny and Kit (Jenn's Mom and baby Logans other fabulous grandma)helped stock the box with grass clippings and treats, ensuring his safe commute.
Upon our arrival home eliot worked hard to create a comfortable and beautiful home for her new friend, Frog Willie. She filled the container with pea gravel, grass, a large leaf off the corn plant, a couple seashells "for him to put his food in" and a dish of water. She then decorated the outside with Pretty Pony stickers, and toys that she adhered to the sides of the container with stickers.
Ivor was elated when he was able to get ahold of the container and dump it upside down.
Welcome to our home Frog Willie. Tomorrow we will have to introduce him to the others - the cocoon, the inchworm, the worms, Diana as well as the crane fly who lives in eliot's room.

Congratulations eliot! May I recommend that you lightly and gently mist Willie about twice a day? Amphibian skin is very sensitive and is a big water-loser for the organism. Also, it's skin absorbs whatever is on your hands, so wash up (and rinse well!) before you handle him.
Love, Bio-Jen
plus, if you want to keep him going, you can buy mealworms and crickets at the pet store and you'll have a happy happy frog!
