A Day at the Doctor - or Six Things

Friday morning, very, very early, Ivor and I headed out to his first (and last - phew!) allergist appointment.

Leaving the house at 6:45 AM, due to the unpredictability of traffic, Ivor still in his jammies with a cup of soymilk in his hand and a cup of coffee in mine, we hit the road. We made it to the U-District in record time, hitting at least 95% of the lights green.

We had time to stop in for breakfast at Noah's Bagels. I had plain, toasted with cream cheese, Ivor's was a blueberry with nothing on it.

We made it to the dr's office exactly on time (which is apparently 15 minutes early according to the receptionist who called to confirm on Thursday), 8:15 AM, signed in, hung out in the waiting room for 15 minutes and were escorted to our room promptly at 8:30 (our actual appointment time).

Ivor realizes we are at the doctor.

Fortunately, the doctor was only HALF AN HOUR late for his FIRST APPOINTMENT OF THE DAY, during which time Ivor managed to touch every square inch of the quite dirty appointment room (I found it strange that the room in the allergists office was so dirty, but I digress).

It would have been nice if we had been told about the drawer full of toys before we sat in the room for 30 minutes.

The good news is: Ivor isn't allergic to anything! (Ok, so we had a 3 hour ordeal and the doctor would only bother to test him for 6 things, not including 2 of the things I was concerned he was allergic to). But, at least Ivor for sure isn't allergic to 6 things!

Why didn't they test for the 2 things you were concerned with? I'd ask for your 3 hours back!! :)
